Ayurveda Touch is a home-based business in uptown New Orleans. I first became interested in massage while I was teaching in Thailand, but it wasn't until several years later that I considered it as a career choice. I have always been fascinated by other cultures. That fascination led me to world travels, a B.A. in International Studies, Masters research in Cultural Anthropology, and serving as a Public Health volunteer for the Peace Corps in Kenya. My interest in research focused on ritual healing from different cultures. That is how I stumbled across Ayurveda, the most ancient form of medicine known. I received my Diploma of Massage Therapy in southeast Louisiana in 2007, and immediately began training as a Thai Practitioner. I am a NCBTMB massage therapist and a Basic Certified Advanced Thai Practitioner working towards advanced certifications to teach. For more information on my training please check out Thai Yoga Center and ITTA. I have trained at the Soma Veda Institute and Thai Yoga Center both in Georgia and Thailand, as well as at the Anantasuk School for Thai Massage in Bangkok. It is my hope to help both the healing of others, as well as myself with the knowledge I have gained using bodywork, energy work, herbs, ayurvedic treatments and more. Namaste.
